Madeline Leiter is a Master’s Level Intern working under Dr. Diane Marti. She is a third-year student at Bellevue University working on a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Madeline graduated in 2019 with a Doctorate of Pharmacy from Creighton University before transitioning to counseling. She is pursuing additional training in the Gottman Method Couples Therapy and has completed trainings in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT). Madeline is also experienced working in the field of case management in Community Mental Health serving a variety of clients in the local community.
Madeline uses a Person Centered approach in counseling and is available to provide therapy to adolescents and adults. She works with individuals struggling with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, life transitions, perinatal mood disorders, college stress, LGBTQIA+ issues, relationship problems including co-parenting struggles, and schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorders. As an intern, Madeline’s counseling services are offered at no cost and are available in person or via telehealth.
All clients are unique and bring unique life experiences who shape who they are. Madeline strives to create a safe space and productive therapeutic environment where clients can grow and work together toward change at whatever step they may be on in their mental health journey. She will work with clients to develop coping skills and problem-solve issues affecting the clients mental health.
Outside of work, you can find Madeline taking her young son on adventures to the pool or lake in summertime, reading a good book, or spending time with family and friends.
