Karla Wiedel is the owner of Wiedel Behavioral Health, LLC and a clinician at Williamsburg Behavioral Psychology, LLC. Karla is a Licensed Independent Mental Health Practitioner, Licensed Alcohol Drug Counselor, Certified Professional Counselor and Psychologist Assistant. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from University of Nebraska at Kearney and went on to obtain a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania. She has additional training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), The Matrix Model for substance use issues, and has a special interest in the field of Neuropsychology. Karla is on the provider list with both Douglas and Lancaster County to provide substance use treatment to individuals who are involved in the legal system.
Karla is available to provide individual and family outpatient therapy services for adults and youth. She traditionally sees children four years old and up. Due to COVID-19, Karla is solely doing telehealth therapy and is only taking new patients who are 8 years and older. She works with individuals who struggle with depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, trauma/abuse issues, sleep disturbances, behavioral problems, relationship problems, substance use issues, schizophrenia/schizoaffective disorders, and co-occurring conditions. Karla is a provider for most insurance plans.
Outside of work, Karla enjoys spending time with family and friends, as well as reading, traveling, and going to amusement parks.
