Ariella Reeves, LIMHP, grew up in the suburbs of Washington DC. She later moved to Lincoln and graduated from Lincoln High School. Ariella lived in Nebraska on and off for several years and is well-traveled teaching English in Israel and the United States. Ariella received a bachelor’s degree from Nebraska Wesleyan in 1999 and attended College of Saint Mary’s in 2004-2006 for certification in Education. Her interests shifted to mental health when working with young women who struggled to find employment despite traumas they were experiencing and life hardships. Ariella has worked in mental health for over 10 years.
Ariella received a master’s in Counseling from Doane University in 2015. Practicum and internship were done at Munroe-Meyer Institute through the University Nebraska Medical Center. Ariella has worked with families struggling with their children’s behaviors, autism, ADHD, and Oppositional defiant disorder as well as sleep issues, Encopresis and Enuresis. Ariella has also worked with adults suffering from trauma, life adjustments, substance use, severe and persistent mental illness as well as low cognitive functioning, Autism, personality disorders, anxiety disorders, phobias, and obsessive-compulsive disorder. She utilizes cognitive behavioral, motivation interviewing, mindfulness, and Gestalt techniques in her work.
Ariella enjoys spending time with family, camping, hiking, being outdoors, travel, theater, sewing, crafts, painting, as well as Anime, Marvel, DC, and Harry Potter.
